The candidate for Ukweli Party and second runner-up during her election for, Miss Samathah Maina has hinted that Kenyans need to be educated more on the voting processes and procedures.
She made this remark on her twitter handle while responding to her followers following her slight miss for the seat. According to her, 2022 isn’t that far and Kenyans need massive civic education because 391,606 votes could amount a countries count.
Meanwhile A 23-year-old John Paul Mwirigi beats rival Joseph Mwereria to win Igembe South Parliamentary seat in Meru County with 19,366 votes.
Mwirigi is currently a third-year university student whose campaign was financed by his supporters. On holidays, He worked as a boda boda rider in Maua town.
He ran as an independent candidate, while his rival contested on a Jubilee Party ticket
