The Touching Story Of Ndi Ekwulobia

HOW NOT TO DECEIVE A COMMUNITY
In the next three weeks,Anambra voters would be going to the poll to decide among the contending candidates of some political parties who to vote for. Ekwulobia people too would not be left out.

The present government in the state under Chief Willie Obiano is slugging it out with Messrs Henry Obaze of the PDP, Anthony Nwoye of the APC, and others.

Ordinarily, Obiano as the incumbent Chief Executive should not be sweating much to get reelected, but his last three years plus as the governor has left much to be desired in many communities in Anambra state

Ekwulobia Community, the political and economic nerve centre of old Aguata council areas is adjudged as the fourth biggest urban town of Anambra state.

What it has gained from Obiano’s all round working government is nothing but a pittance in the pool of resources said to have been used in the entire state.

Ekwulobia General Hospital road to Isuofia town has remained a death trap over the time. Many concerned citizens have cried out to the government on the deplorable condition of the road which has rendered the Ekwulobia General Hospital as a mere consulting clinic for those who manage to access the health institution with motorcycles. It has since become un motorable.

Only yesterday, a rickety caterpillar was seen grading the road, raising fears that some chieftains of the APGA government in the state want to hoodwink the gullible members of the town.

Mr Ezenwafor Afam,an indigene of the town reacted in a Facebook report of the job by saying that the caterpillar was hired for #50,000 perday to deceive people into voting for a particular political party in the state.

Mr Ezenwafor may have just opened the fraud called the award of the contract by His Excellency,Chief Willie Obiano in less than one month to the governorship election in the state.

This has raised the curious question as to which construction company was doing the job?

Ekwulobia town is among several towns in Anambra state ravaged gully erosion. This cankerworm of erosion came as a result of poor flood channels occasioned by the indiscriminate grading of roads by politicians on the eve of election periods.

Notable road construction companies like JULIUS BERGER PLC,RCC,SETRACO dare not grade erosion prone areas in October, the thickest season for rains even if the contract for the work is given to them.

It is however pertinent to note that this so-called work is the handiwork of shenanigans, chicaneries, guile and wile politicians in the area who are hellbent in deceiving the people.
