I Will Not Vote In Anambra – Buhari Tells Gov Obiano

While there is nothing special about a Governor visiting his president on official capacity, we must, however be weary of the undisciplined extortion of emotions to satisfying political desires down here.

On Tuesday, barely 17 hours after Governor Willie Obiano flagged off his Governorship campaign, he hurriedly left to Abuja to meet with Mr president.

The said visit, we have on excellent authority, was necessitated by the uneasy calm in APGA camp since the emergence of the grand master of grassroots politics, tactics and strategies – Dr Tony Nwoye; coupled with the high tech, no nonsense national campaign committee led the Bauchi state Governor – Mohammed Abubukar of the ruling party, APC

The Governor who has been feasting on the imaginary internal problems in APC after the primaries has become more jittery, frustrated and desperate largely due to last Sunday’s inauguration of the state campaign committee headed by the leader of the party Dr Chris Ngige with all the other eleven aspirants of the party holding key roles in the campaign and election proper.

Afraid of the impending political tornado, Gov Obiano has rushed to Abuja under the guise of welcoming the president from his sick vacation to seek and curry undue favour towards his second term bid.

You will recall that recently, the former SSG to Obiano and now PDP flagbearer, Mr Oseloka Obaze revealed that Governor Obiano was an outcome of the undue favour and influence of the then president Jonathan’s PDP against its then candidate, Dr Tony Nwoye.

So bad that like the proverbial Igbo child that is carried at the back of her mother that doesn’t know the distance covered; Gov Obiano is now faced with the heat and arduous task of not only facing the man he fears most – Dr Tony Nwoye, but the joint forces of all the 11 aspirants and a united party in the forthcoming governorship election.

We are aware that Mr president has rejected and completely resisted the attempt by Gov Obiano to curry undue presidential favour from him and insisted that like the examplary APC primary Election that the Nov 18th Governorship Election must be free, fair and transparent.

He advised Mr Obiano to go home and convince the Anambra electorates with the records of his achievements as there is no shortcut to his second term bid.

We notice the amount of frustrations written all over Gov Obiano as depicted in the picture and only ask him as the outgoing governor to face the grassroots with his records of achievements and stop sneaking from high to low places in Abuja in search of undue favour or influence, as he wouldn’t find any.
